Overview
[ARCHIVE] respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that content on [ARCHIVE] infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice as described below. We take all DMCA claims seriously and will respond promptly to valid notices. Abuse of this process — including submitting fraudulent or bad-faith claims — may result in account suspension.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
To submit a DMCA takedown notice, your written notice must include: 1. Your full legal name and contact information (email, address, phone) 2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed 3. The URL or location on [ARCHIVE] where the infringing content can be found 4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law 5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf 6. Your physical or electronic signature Submit notices to: contact@personaloutcome.me
Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, [ARCHIVE] will: • Review the notice for completeness and good faith • Remove or disable access to the alleged infringing content • Notify the content uploader that their content has been removed • Provide the uploader with a copy of the takedown notice (with personal information redacted where appropriate) We aim to process valid DMCA notices within 3–5 business days.
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentified, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include: 1. Your full legal name and contact information 2. Identification of the removed content and its previous location on ARCHIVE 3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification 4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your location (or, if outside the US, the jurisdiction in which [ARCHIVE] is located) 5. Your physical or electronic signature Submit counter-notices to: contact@personaloutcome.me Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original claimant files a court action.
Repeat Infringers
[ARCHIVE] maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. A user may be flagged as a repeat infringer if they receive multiple valid DMCA notices within a 12-month period. We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion for serious or repeated copyright violations, even if they do not meet the technical threshold of "repeat infringer."
Fair Use & Good Faith
We encourage all users to consider fair use before submitting a takedown notice. Fair use allows limited use of copyrighted material for purposes such as commentary, criticism, parody, education, and news reporting. Submitting a DMCA notice in bad faith — for example, to silence criticism or remove content that clearly qualifies as fair use — may expose you to legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). [ARCHIVE] takes such abuse seriously.
